Security & Transparency

The Architecture
of Privacy

Adherence to the Data Protection Act (Act 843) of Ghana

01

Digital Structural Integrity

At Pen Homes, we view your digital data with the same reverence we hold for the physical materials of your home. Just as a foundation must be poured with precision, your privacy is the critical infrastructure upon which our relationship is built. This policy governs your interaction with the Pen Homes website and our digital showcases.

In strict accordance with the Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843) of the Republic of Ghana, we treat your information not as a commodity, but as a private asset requiring structural integrity.

02

Data Acquisition & Mapping

We collect information through two primary digital layers:

  • Voluntary Disclosure: When you engage with our "Principal & Chief of Design" via contact forms or project inquiry portals, we collect your name, email, and specific project requirements.
  • Telemetry & Analytics: To optimize your experience, our website monitors performance metadata—such as device type, browser orientation, and navigation patterns. We do not use intrusive tracking; we simply analyze how you interact with our "Architecture of Intelligence" to improve our digital interface.
  • Cookies: We use functional cookies to remember your preferences (such as your choice of aesthetic theme). These are stored locally and can be cleared via your browser at any time.
03

Cybersecurity & Data Residency

Drawing from our founder’s software engineering background, our website is secured with the same rigor we apply to our smart home integrations.

  • Encryption: All data transmitted via our website is protected by industry-standard TLS encryption.
  • Data Residency: In compliance with Ghanaian law, we prioritize the processing of your data within secure, authorized nodes. We do not sell or lease your digital footprint to third-party advertisers.
  • PenLabs Shield: Our proprietary sub-brand, PenLabs, continuously monitors our web infrastructure for vulnerabilities to ensure the boundary between your inquiry and the public web remains impenetrable.
04

Your Rights under Act 843

As a user in the Republic of Ghana, you are protected by the Data Protection Commission (DPC). You maintain absolute sovereignty over your personal data. You may exercise the following rights at any time:

  • Right of Access: Request a clear summary of any personal data we have collected through your website interactions.
  • Right to Rectification: Request the immediate update of any inaccurate or outdated information provided via our digital forms.
  • Right to Erasure (Digital Cleansing): Request the permanent deletion of your contact data from our website’s active databases.
  • Right to Object: You may withdraw your consent for any marketing communications or telemetry tracking at any point without affecting your access to our showcase.

Questions Regarding our Protocols?

Our security team and Data Protection Officer are available to discuss the specific encryption and physical security measures of your project.
